When the traveler is ready, the Airstream will appear....

After several years of reading/dreaming/looking/waiting/wanting (and replacing both knees and both shoulders with Titanium versions) we found ourselves faced with an opportunity today we couldn't pass up...a 2008 19' International Ocean Breeze advertised in the local paper. We called, and a couple hours later we were shaking hands on a deal to buy the trailer. Just seemed like it was supposed to happen. Hope we don't find out otherwise.

Looks wonderful. Now what is the plan for the shakedown trip? Interstate, intrastate, down the road, around the park, over to the lake, up the river, or the big one with all the buckets on the first trip?

Post a picture on the April picture thread. That certainly looks like a bucket list item checked off.

Travel safe and enjoy the new coach. Pat

I’m a believer in things happening for a reason, and that [insert your personal belief] will put things in your life when you’re ready. Congratulations on your your acquisition; may it bring you many years of joy.

Aha! Sounds like us. Retirement in 2017 gave us the time to travel. Plan to be at UrbanAir in Logan, Ohio. Lots of AS and owners to share experiances.

I, too, feel that when one is ready, the necessary tool, person, or objective shows itself. Here's to the start of something new! Congratulations!!

Aluminum to match your titanium—a perfect match!

Love the Ocean Breeze—great find! We have a 28’ 2009 that we reluctantly might need to sell next year (we’ve moved off the continent and so far haven’t used her fir two seasons.)

Happy trails!

Welcome to the Airstream forum and the world of Aluminum.

This forum will be a good "goto" reference for all things Airstream with lots of facts and opinions.

Wish you smooth towing in the years to come.

Marter ...

Happy for you. For your initial trip there are many great places to see in right here in Nebraska. Mahoney State Park, Ponca State Park, Louisville, Gavins Point up at Yankton and our favorite place in all of Nebraska ... Fort Robinson State Park. Fort Robinson is a great place to spend time going to and from the Black Hills and Yellowstone.

We have pulled our 2005 to all four corners of the lower 48 and there are still places we want to go.

Congratulations and have fun.

Thanks for all the welcoming messages and good wishes. We're thrilled that this came to us; we pick it up Tuesday and will start stocking up for the first trip.

We'll keep it simple the first time out; one of the state parks nearby. This forum has been so helpful in learning and preparing, now it's time to dive in. Can't wait to break her in.

And don't worry, I'll flip the step up and drop the front window shade; I was just posing here.

Congratulations on your new adventure! Using our 20' FC for 4-6 months per year since 2014. Hope you enjoy your new rig as much as we do. It certainly is a terrific way to take a long thoughtful journey exploring national parks and states and provinces not visited. We think 19-20' is perfect size for two and a pup! Have fun packing and enjoying yourselves! The compact size is a dream to tow and we've never found a campground we've not been able to find a spot we fit into.
