Second awning?

We are waiting for delivery of our first AS (25FB Twin Flying Cloud)- so excited! Wondering if we should order a second awning for the "back side" of the AS. What are the advantages of having it? Worth the investment? Comments please. Thanks.

We don't have the smaller side and back awnings, but I wish we did. I've heard they really help with cooling in the summer. I hope to add the street side awning next year (not sure about the rear awning).

I also would like to have a street side awning. I do not think I need one on the aft end. I was quoted $1800, so it is going to have to wait. It is not something I need, just something I want. If I was ordering a new Airstream I would spec it with awnings all around.

We went with the street side and rear awning on our 2015 25FB because we spend the Winter in Fl. There were days that we would cook in our 27FB which only had the curbside awning. Really makes a huge difference!

I have a bambi, my side consists of two oblong small windows, mupybaft is my egress. Would it make a difference with those two small windows on the streetside? It can get really hot inside, which is why I did not look into solar. My olspd sob had solar, but I needed to park pretty much in the sun. Now I try tobstay as shady as possible.

As follow Bambi owners, we also try to stay as shady as possible...

We had rear and street side awnings added to our 19' 2006 Bambi Safari SE and have never regretted it especially in our weather. We have the same window configuration as "Sbb" and the awning runs the whole length...since the idea is to keep the sun off the exterior sides ... not just the windows. It makes a significant difference. In our neck o' the woods there isn't always shade...

Our AS has awnings on both sides. Streetside is not as wide as the main one. Also have a small tear awning over the escape/desk window. The street side awning dies keep a lot of heat out. Enough that we have deployed it when parked with dogs on board to keep them cooler with vents running.

Our 25FC didn't have them on it and we added them on this fall. It makes a big difference in cooling and we used them a lot on our spring trip. We just moved up to a 28FC and made sure they were on the new one!

We have awnings over all of the windows on our 1987 Avion 34W. It makes a huge difference and I would recommend them highly.
