What is the new rig? On a DRW pickup?

I'm still new at AS but you're saying we're not required to slash our wrists over this or anything, right?

There has got to be something going on under the surface here.

When I stopped riding my BMW motorcycle and started riding a Triumph, I was not at all mad at the BMW riders. They are still a great group of riders as a whole- probably the best group you would ever meet on the road. I still go to their rallies when I ride.

Hi, I can say that the truck/campers had a huge advantage, cost wise, when taking any of the Ferries in Alaska. They charged by the foot. At 44' and around $3,000.00 I/we chose to drive all of the way. [no Ferries for me]

Fair Winds to you Zig! Airstream ownership is not cheap nor for everyone. Never had a truck camper but many VW camper vans. It's a lot easier to hit the road with only four wheels on the ground. Enjoy the simplicity of your truck camper.

Yes, almost a 180 degree shift ... righteous indignation?
(We certainly enjoy the BMW riders and rallies, too!)

We'll just have to buck up and endeavor to persevere after this tragic loss to our little community.

Hi, well I guess you can still hang out and post on RV.net; And find your trailer keys in your truck.

It's hard to believe anyone could pass through this forum without anything but good thoughts. Regardless if the trailer met expectations or did not.

Sure some of us have to go through a few RVs in search of "the one." And at least for me the more I know, the more I realize everything is a compromise.

This is a good forum and there are some good people in the Airstream business.

Jim, you were always defending Airstreams when people told about their problems with build, QC, cheap parts. You weren't very nice about it either, certainly not as nice as the people who answered you. A fair number of your posts were removed for violating the "be nice" rule. As mefly2 says, almost a 180˚ shift.

Now Airstreams are awful and so are we. I hope your new RV works for you and you won't ever have to trouble yourself with this Forum again.

If you had any friends on this Forum, you have certainly made sure even they won't miss you.

OK Folks... at this point I'd like to suggest that you send a PM to zig if you have any other comments. This thread seems to have outlived it's usefulness and is crossing into veggie pitching territory
