Sometimes, where a 2-lane road intersects a 2 lane road, that means going straight instead of turning right, finding a place to turn around down the road, and coming back for a left turn, which isn't a problem. Or turning left, finding a place to turn around, and coming back for a straight shot through the intersection. That's just life on the backroads with a big trailer.

John, that is about what I suggest if you do decide to come through San Marcos on RM 12. I would go straight ahead and make three left turns next time.
For the rest of you, I warned John of a nasty right turn on his intended route through San Marcos, TX. Heavy traffic there prevents swinging wide and I was just able to get my 22' safely around the turn last time I came through there. I was turning from the right lane with cars close on my left into two narrow lanes with cars crowding the center line. The corner is a bit more than 90 degrees.
