CA to Colorado trip (and could use some advice!) THANKS!

Hi.

I've got a 1958 Silver Streak trailer (sorry for posting in Airstream, but this is about the only forum for vintage Airstream-esque trailers and you guys have been great in the past!) that needs to make it's way out from San Francisco (Petaluma area) to Colorado sometime in the next 30-120 days.

I've got three questions for the group:

1. Know of any great Airstream restoration specialists in the CO-area?

2. Any suggestions on great campgrounds that do in/out storage? (e.g. they have on site storage and will pull it out and put into spot for you). I know that sounds SO LAZY, but...I don't have a tow rig.

I've spent two hours doing some research online, just hard to know having not spent a lot of time in CO. I'm trying to find a place within 3.5 hours of Denver, and with lots of activities at the campground OR nearby, I've got two daughters ages 12 and 14...and I'm trying to use this as a weekend getaway place for them with the remaining years that I've got left with them while at home.

3. Any suggestions on how to get this thing from SF Bay to Colorado?

So since I no longer have a tow vehicle... I'd either be willing to pay someone to drive it out to a designated spot in Colorado (probably Pagosa Springs area), OR perhaps someone would want to barter where they use it for a vacation for a few weeks and then just take/drop it in CO before heading to their final destination.

Or, any other suggestions from the group?

Thanks!

Raz

Congrats on your Silver Streak. They're very friendly here and welcome vintage kin.

Look up Luke Bernander he does Airstream work.

Colorado has a very active Airstream and Vintage Kin Community. The DenCo unit of WBCCI might have some valuable info for you and they will likely chime in here to direct you to some resources.
