"Getting on the roof"

I see people talk about "getting on the roof." For general maintenance what, if anything, can the roof of my airstream support?

You, some tools and supplies and a square of carpet to keep from dimpling the skin. I'd suggest you only walk on the rivet lines.....

Stay away from the end caps as they have the integrity of a Jiffy Pop!

In all seriousness, the roof can support an amaging load, with that being said.... tread lightly, especially if it has rained!

I cut a 2x12 approx 3ft long and covered with a carpet remenent. It spans the riveted sections and makes it comfortable to sit on when working on the roof.
