Removing Decals
Does anyone know how to safely remove a decal from the exterior without damaging the aluminum? I tried Airstream's process, didn't work at all. (WD40 & Slick 50. Lubricant)

Is your trailer clearcoated, in good shape or failing, are you planning to strip it? Just need a little more info

I use a hair dryer to warm up the annual registration sticker on my boat before I remove it. Have you tried removing it after it's been in the hot sun, then applying the WD40 and lube?

I use a heat gun on low, be sure to not get the tip too close or linger in one spot too long.

3M Adhesive Eraser Wheel
Rich Luhr was successful last February in removing his large decals by using 3M Adhesive Eraser Wheel and following up with Goo Gone.
Read the details in his blog post, " Oh no, it's the UPS truck again."
And see his demonstration:
His video, "Removing adhesive decals from an Airstream travel trailer," can be viewed on the YouTube website:

Auto paint stores carry a decal remover that works pretty well on MOST decals. Spray it on, wait for it to work, and peel the decals off.
Brevi tempore!

I've used the eraser wheel that SilverGate is recommending and have tried at least 10 other methods. Go straight to the eraser wheel and save yourself a lot of time and frustration. Most auto body repair supply stores carry them.
