You are dead on with the neighbors knowing when we are home for a weekend based on the visibility of the Airstream....

As for the late night on the forums thing, the trick is to go to bed with the wife, wait till you hear the obligatory snoring, then sneak back to the computer. It works.

Barry

68 and Barry,

You too are so right on with the 'knowing when we are home' and on the 'sneak back'

if you know from memory where every single Airstream is in your community, no matter if it's new, vintage or just setting somewhere and if you see one you've not noticed before, you make a mental note of that one, too.

When you say "rear sag" it's not a body part that you're talking about!

if you start putting common expresions into Airstream terms, ie: he's a few rivets short of a completed Airstream!
or, "I don't think his system is working on a full 12 volts!

Safari57- You learn all kinds of useful things on the forum, not only how to fix your trailer but how to handel things with the wife as well! I did as you suggested, wife is snoring away and I'm on the forums! Good stuff, eh?

Why wait until the power goes out?

How about this, you shut off the main house breaker just to create an excuse to use the Airstream. (practicing in case of hurricane you know)

Hurricane? That would be mighty strange here in the midwest...But I get the idea. Unless you mean the drink....

Wait...I have a Burnstream Court moop can.
But no Burnstream Court in '08.
Must scoop moop elsewhere...

You may be an Airstreamer if you plan your schedule around all the rallies.

...if you pity your friends who stay in hotels while traveling.
...you mistakenly refer to a friend who owns another brand as a S.O.B. to his face.

You might be an Airstreamer if you chose your Classic Motorhome's MECHANIC with more care than you chose your own DOCTOR.

You might be an Airstreamer if you know exactly how many posts until your next rivet!

You may be an airstreamer if... you have several HO Airstream sets but no HO train set. Hey they were on e-bay and oh so cute in my christmas village! Who needs a train when you got airstreams!

You might be an Airstreamer if you habitually avoid low overhanging branches along the road even when cruising in your daily driver.

You may be an Airstreamer if you search tag, lawn, and grage sales for ANY vintage aluminum kitsch.

You MAY BE AN AIRSTREAMER if you feel "naked" without one or more plastic pink flamingoes on the campsite.
