Anniversary Rally-2011
Last year is was the Honeymoon Rally, since the wedding has taken place (and so has the honeymoon) now its on to the Anniversary Rally!
So come join us for a great weekend and feel free to participate in the venison chili cook off! We will be at Findley State Park in Wellington, Ohio. October 27-30, 2011.
We will be awarding our own silver family trophy to those who enter from our group!
Venison Chili Cook Off - Oct. 29, 1p.m.
Calling all cooks! Participants must pre-register at the park for this event by October 15. Findley provides the venison to contestants on Friday of the event. Contestants must return their entries for judging by 1 p.m. on Saturday at the nature center. Regular camping fees apply. Call either 440-647-4490 or 440-647-5749 to register.
Reservations for camping may be made six months prior to the event. To make reservations, please call 1-866-644-6727 or visit www.ohiostateparks.org.

Reservations for camping may be made six months prior to the event. The park has switched over to first come first served for camping for that month, SO, I am waiting to hear if they will allow us to do in house reservations or if I have to go there Thursday, October 27th and just book all the spots. (I hate it when they play with the systems this is the downfall of the state parks here) I am suppose to hear back this week and I will change it here and on the thread as to what you need to do to reserve

This might be a good "last hurrah" this year for us. I'll put it on the calendar. It will give us a reason to bust out another venison roast from the freezer.

Okay, spoke to carla today, they will do local reservations for us call :
440-647-4490 ask for carla or 440-647-5749 x100 ask for bridget
Tell them you want to make reservations for the airstream anniversary rally and let them know if you want to register for the chilli cookoff! They have about 10 sites reserved for us and I can designate more if needbe. Soooo don't wait til last minute. The park fills up fast for this event!

Woohoo! Reservations made today and registered for the cookoff! loudruff is reserved for site 175 and we are on 174 across from ctdair and pattimarty!

We are practicing our chili recipe tomorrow evening. We have a secret ingredient as well. Have two other recipes to try before we stick to one. Looking forward to the end of October!!! Hope to see you there.
