Hensley stinger.

I have ordered a 2011 f150 pickup with a hd payload package and 8 foot box. Since I don't have the truck yet I can't measure the height of the two inch receiver from the ground to see what drop I need in the stinger for my Hensley hitch.
Maybe some of you out there have said setup and can tell me what stinger you are using and what the configuration of your pickup is?
Thanks,
Al

Big Al, 4x2 or 4x4 and wheel size will effect your hitch height. You'll probably get a ball park number here, but it might be safest to go to a f150 store and measure one that has the exact configuration (of the things that effect receiver height). Or wait it out until your new tow truck shows up.

It will not only depend on the truck and its suspension. It will also depend on how loaded the bed of your truck will be. Also a camper shell or bed cover will add significant weight to the bed of the truck. Once the truck is loaded to go camping, that receiver can be several inches closer to the ground than it was unloaded. Also if you plan to use any helper springs or air bags, that will also factor into the equation.

Can't answer your question but I do have a 4" drop stinger. If you need it I may be interested in trading for your 2". Let me know. I'm in London.

Hi Camp-n-family,
I actually have the straight stinger now that I have been using with an e150.
I'm not sure that 4" drop will be enough from the pickups that I have seen on dealer lots.
I guess I'll have to wait till the truck comes in.
