I am doing a complete Hensley repaint and rebuild. When I took out the bushing it had cracked in two right along one of the welds. I always keep a spare but ordered a new spare along with a few other maintenance parts. When it arrived I noticed a difference I had never seen before.....
This is a pic showing the tops of both bushings...my spare and the newly received one
This is a pic of the bottoms of both bushings... notice anything?
This is a close up of the new bushing set. The bottom is beveled. They are both allegedly 1000# bushings and are identical in every other respect. Is this new design to remedy the stresses resulting in the weld cracking...or did I get a wrong bushing?
