Trailblazer vs Tahoe

Well, we could tow our 25FB Flying Cloud with our 2002 Trailblazer and did, the more I thought about it I didn't like it. We got the Hensley arrow and the TT towed ok but I began questioning my ability to be safe. We were overweight and I was also concerned about issues relating to negligence as well.
After much thought we got a 2011 Tahoe with the KSL Heavy duty trailering package, 3.42 rear axle ratio and an integrated trailer brake controller. I DID NOT want to spend the money but I just couldn't get comfortable with the Trailblazer. I will keep everybody updated as we continue our adventures with adequate power

Congratulations on the purchases. You will have to call Hensley to switch the shank due to the higher hitch height of the Tahoe. I understand the 6 speed auto makes a big difference in towing.
I hate to open a can of worms here but, your experience makes me wonder how our friends to the north of us tow with little cars and mini vans and claim they are safe. I don't think I can leave the Los Angeles area to the north up the grapevine or the Cajon pass to the east to the High Deserts. Those grades need a lot of torque to get over and back. Oh well, It sounds like you did the right thing right away instead of waiting for something awful to happen.
I want to see some pictures of the whole rig hooked up!
