Toyota Tacoma Towers

Hi:
Looking for people who tow their AS with a Tacoma, that have pics of their hitch/sway control setup. I recently changed my TV from an FJ cruiser to a 2011 Tacoma and am having issues getting the tow ball height up to 18" with my old setup since the FJ was much higher. See pics of my old set up now attached to the Tacoma. It's too low!
Any help/recommendations of how I can modify this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

BTW, I am towing a 2009 AS 16' International.

You'll have to unbolt the head from the draw bar, move it up a hole or two, maybe three, (whatever is needed) and bolt it back on.

For what it's worth, here's our hitch set-up on an '07 Tacoma... We use an Equal-I-Zer Hitch...

Looks like you'll probably need to buy a shorter shank, and bolt the head onto that.

Hi tacoma owners, I recently purchased a 2011 Tacoma V6 4x2 quad cab w tow package. 6500 max would like to purchase a new AS soon. My Ideal is a 23 international or 23D 6000 pounds loaded, they spec out very close to the Tacoma max ratings. Any input would be appreciated.
Considering a 19 -22 instead

We tow with a Tacoma Quad Cab with tow package (07)...we tow a 19' Bambi. I think we'd be OK with a 20' Airstream but for anything bigger we think it would behoove us to have a larger truck. We do well with the 19' and are happy with the Tacoma's performance with our trailer. The general rule of thumb on the Forums seems to be to tow no more than 80% of your towing capacity.

Good luck!
