Winterizing - Tubing Size for Antifreeze Connection
Searched around a bit, to no avail...
Last year when winterizing I ended up just using black tape to connect a hose from the water pump into
a pail of Antifreeze as so....
My trailer isn't handy to check things out. I'm wondering what size tubing I would need to connect to the
water pump (for siphoning from the pail of Antifreeze) as I have done in the photo with a water hose last year.
Might be less prone to leaking.
The filter just before the pump. Some have a barb fitting to the input hose and some have a threaded connection. Can't tell what you have from the picture.
If a barb fitting just get 3 feet of 1/2 in. tubing from the Big Box Store and use that. If a threaded fitting take the filter out and match a female fitting to the filter and connect the tubing to that .
You want to have anti freeze in the filter body as well as the pump when you are done.
