I recently acquired a
1968 CARAVEL with an Ultra 3500 series electric tongue jack. The previous owner told me that the jack was not operational and the problem is quite common with these jacks. He gave me the part that needs replacement so all I need to do is install it. It is called a "headed pin".
I downloaded the installation documentation from the manufacturer but the exploded diagram does not show me how this "headed pin" is installed. From the diagram it would appear that it goes on the large gear just over the housing cover. However I do not see where the round pin goes or what it does.
I'd appreciate it if someone who has replaced this "headed pin" on their Ultra Jack could advise me on how to install it.
Thanks,
Michael, (W1RC)
