jacking up 1960 travler

Hi,
We have a 1960 Traveler with the original axle and leaf spring suspension. I looked on the forum for how to jack it up to change one of the wheels but couldn't find anything. we are brand new owners so I want to make sure I'm doing it right....can I put a jack where the leaf spring attaches to the axle? or under the axle itself? How easy is it to change out the stems? thanks, Stacia and Martha

Don't jack it on the axle or the springs. You can bend or break something. Especially with the age of your trailer.

Put your jack under the chassis of the trailer.

a follow up question: do we need to remove the belly pan to access the chassis?
