Maxx Air Vent Covers
Hi Folks.
I know that somewhere on this forum this has been discussed before, but I can't find it,so be patient.
After spending 4 months touring through all weather conditions it has come to my attention that a roof vent cover is definitely my next "home" improvement so we can get the bad air out at all times, come rain or shine.Especially with 3 dogs and a cat!
I was at my dealer today getting warranty work done and they pointed out the new Maxx Air II with its bigger vent area. They also told me it came in Black, White, and Smoke grey.
I talked myself into it and told them to go ahead, but after getting home,I received a message that their supplier couldn't get the Smoke Grey....Rats. But there was another supplier that carried them but they wanted a bunch more money for them. I believe them.
So, has anyone put these on,and did you go for Black,or White as those are my only 2 choices.
Or do I spend 50% more for the Smoke Grey. You read that right.Remember I am in Canada.

I have the MaxxAir covers on both fans, on my AS. Also had them on my old 5th wheel. Love them. They snap on and attach with special brackets. No drilling.
I went for white because my AC unit is white and it all blends in.
Cheers

Sorry, I have Prime membership, so free 2 day shipping in most cases.

We have them on front and back. We chose a dark color (silver gray) to block out the brightness of the bedroom vent, which was too bright for sleeping after sunrise. Sure is nice to have the ventilation when it's raining, and when pulling the trailer on hot days.

We used the larger opening Maxxair II over the living room, but had to use the earlier, slightly narrower Maxxair over the bedroom to fit between the factory solar panels.

Hi, same here. But I did have to drill into my vent housing to mount the mounting brackets.

Hi, I have an inside vent cover to block the light in my bedroom, so in this case I only open the front vent at night if needed.

HI, are you saying that there are two sizes of Maxx Air II's? or are you saying that the Maxx Air II is larger than the Maxx Air?

I was saying that the MaxxAir II is larger than the MaxxAir. According to the brochure it has almost twice as much vent area. But it does require drilling holes in the side of the fan base. Not sure if that could be a potential issue?

Since you have both sizes, do you recommend one over the other?
Thanks.

I have had both MaxxAir and Maxxair II. The II model is DEFINITELY better as far as airflow goes. I would not consider the regular model.

Maxxair II has more ventilating area and some of that wraps around, so I like that and the styling better. It also comes with hinges and pins to easily tilt it up for cleaning.

Thanks to all for your replies and advice. I think I will wait it out to get the MaxxAir II. I will give it a bit longer to try and find the Grey or Silver. Barring that , white will work.
