Replacing the curved windows in the Argy

Hi all,

Is the following the correct understanding of replacing the curved front window in my Argy?

1. remove all those rivets off the frame,
2. take off the frame,
3. take out the window (plexiglass in my case),
4. put in the new window,
5. reseal and put the frame back on with all those rivets.

If that's the case, then the inside doesn't get touched right? Then how is the inside "ledge" of the window cleanly finished? My Argy looks as follows:

Chopper,
I am not an Argy owner so you may have to wait for a definitive answer...but on the Airstream there is a plastic surround that covers up the cut edges on the inside. On the side (flat) windows the screens cover up those edges.

The window comes out all one piece, frame and all.

Since I contacted you about the Argy you're parting out (I asked about buying the shell) I found my Argy in a lot less than half an hour away. But FYI I got a couple of freight rail quotes and the cheapest was $3600 not including handling and taxes. Ouch. But that's clear across the continent and up into Canada!

But about the window...when I take all those rivets out, the whole window comes out? Hmmm...I was hoping that on the curbside (the photo on the right) that I would pop the Herculite out and clean up the gunk you see building up on the inside of the window where the old caulking is). Ugh! But that won't be the case if the whole assembly comes out.

I mis-remembered. The frame does not come out just the window.
