Re-sealing windows

Just starting the restore on my 73 ambassador 29'. First thing is i've got about 4 small leaks that appear to be coming in around some of the windows.. I want to try and get it dry before the winter sets in good.. Gonna re-seal around vents and windows (door) to see if this helps.. I guess the sealer around vents and windows is vulkem ( gray coarse gritty hard feeling ).. Does have many cracks in it.. My question's are 1 is it vulkem 2 how and do i need to remove it and 3 what is the best product to use to re-seal all these things???? Gosh it's overwhelming!!! Please help!!!! LOL!!

While on the subject of windows I wanted to throw out a question, Im new here and wasnt sure where to post this . . . I need to replace all the screens in my 78 airstream. Any clues as to where to go for that would be much appreciated! Thanks ; )

Colleen.

Screening material can be purchased at stores such as Home Depot.

The better material many use today, is also a "sun guard" that reduces the amount of sun that enters the trailer.
