Bathroom window help

I ordered a new bathroom window and got it yesterday. However after 3 hours of workinging it. I just can not get the hinge into the frame. Is there some trick to this. The ends go in, but the center wont?

Without seeing the hinge, it sounds to me that the center of both the window frame and sash frame do not line up. Put a straight edge on both to determine the non- ailment, they both should be perfectly straight. You may have to open the center of the hinge slightly to allow the 2 pieces to fit into each other.

Check the J hinge does not have any dents. Lift the window way up past 90 degree angle to the window frame.

I had all my windows out to install new gaskets. I spent more time getting one of the side windows back in than I spent on all the rest combined. Andy wrote a good tutorial on one of the threads. It helped a lot. My addition to the installation technique, was to lube both sides of the hinge with Slipit. It was the miracle I had been praying for. Got it from Rockler.

I installed them all alone except for the two end windows. The farmer's daughter helped me with both of those and they went in quick and easy. No force, no pushing or prying on mine. Just the Andy method technique and Slipit and they went right on.
