Spacemaker coffee pot
I have been wanting to upgrade my standard style drip coffee maker to one that would not have to be stored in the pantry or other cabinet while traveling.
The one I'm considering is the Black and Decker Spacemaker model.
Like this one:

Reviews on several sites are all over the place. (From best ever to total garbage).
If you own one and have it in your trailer or motor home I'd like to hear what you think about it.

Looks good.
But it has to be mounted at the cabinet edge to see the controls.
That might work for most mounting????

It seems that it comes with a spacer kit to enable mounting under most cabinets. At least that is what the online directions for installation say.
The good looks of the machine is what drew me to look into it a little more. Black machine and stainless trim would look pretty good hanging in our kitchen.
Home Depot had it online for $60.00 but they are sold out, of course.
I just wonder how well it would do in the trailer as opposed to mounting it in a house.

Hi Katie ,
I ordered one just a few minutes ago from the site I linked in my first post on this thread. Standard free shipping so, I should have it in a week or so.
I'll post here again once I have it in place.
The reasons I purchased are:
It will free up inside cabinet space now taken up by the standard machine and pot.
Pot stores right on the machine.
Colors match my trailers interior.
The pot has an stainless liner.
It's said that coffee stays hot for hours in the (thermos type pot). And I like the idea of just taking the pot to the picnic table and sitting outside in the mornings.

Looks nice! I had a Black & Decker coffee pot catch fire and almost burned my house down. That sort of soured me on Black & Decker coffee pots.

Ok, just posting again as I received my coffee machine today. The pictures on line don't do this thing justice. It is all I had hoped and is well made and will look great in the trailer. The instructions are plain and simple.
I can't install it now as I injured myself (freak accident) and have to wait to heal before using this in the trailer.
So if anybody else buys one, you may beat me to the punch and have yours installed and in use before me.

Just an update.
Had some time today and installed the coffee maker. Sorry, no pictures. Anyway, It was a piece of cake to install. I just used the paper template that came with the machine to drill the holes and and followed the instructions.
They give several different screw lengths and spacers to hang the base plate. I used the long screws and then needed to cut them off so the machine would fit into the base plate. It was no big deal with a Dremmel tool. All the other screws supplied were too short for the type of cabinets in my trailer so now I have extra for some other small project that might come along.
Final word is that they supply you with almost everything you need to install except a Dremmel with cut off wheel, a role of painters tape (to hold the template in place while drilling), a drill, a stubby Phillips screw driver, and a #2 pencil, and a measure tape came in handy too.
It looks good, just as I thought. Haven't made any coffee with it yet. Just some distilled water. Coffee will have to wait till I take the trailer out. But with a fractured shoulder, it won't be anytime soon. Ya, I installed it with one arm. Easy peasy.

This looks like a Nespresso Pixie. I have one at home but it requires more power than my 600 amp inverter can tolerate. I believe it requires 1200 amps. Do you have a 1500 amp inverter? Or am I misinformed on its power usage?
