Hello all,
I have a 28' international w/6 gallon Atwood water heater. It DOES ignite but shuts off after about 2-5 seconds. Both LP tanks are about 1/3 full. There is no indication light so it's not giving me any fault codes. Any ideas??
Hope you all have a great day!!
Close the LP valves then reopen them slowly .Light a gas burner on the stove to bleed the system.Try shutting off your battery disconnect switch for a minute or so then turn back on and try the water heater again.
I had the same issue, made worse with damp weather. It's either the electrode, which if it gets wet doesn't work correctly. Or it's the control board which is a little expensive.
Use a lighter and heat up the ceramic part of the ignitor/electrode, this might dry it out and fix your issue. Also check the connections and ground as the voltage detected by the control board is very small.
