All black? No red on the terminal at all??
A black wire is probably going to ground. Do you have an electric tongue jack

My trailer is in storage, so I can't check, but I had a black wire attached to the plus terminal. 99.9% sure it was electric tongue jack. Follow the wire. If it goes to jack, it goes on plus.

Black = Positive
White = Negative
In most RV's

This issue is somewhat confusing for older RV's...

12 volt wiring colors used to be:

Pos = Red
Neg = Black

As RV mfg's began to conform to RVIA standards they changed their wiring colors to conform:

Pos = Black
Neg = white

As you can see, the BLACK went from Neg (old) - to Pos (new, current) in wiring harness'...

I found this out in grand style when installing the battery in our 2000 vintage Lance truck camper...Whoa - no red Pos wire - what gives...till I looked at the wiring diagram...Surprise on me...!

Best advice is to follow out the wire and find where the other end is attached.
You could check for continuity to see if it grounds.
