Dual Batteries

on an '83 34' limited is the dual battery wires in there wired as series or parallel? I am putting in dual 6 volt batteries and not sure if the preinstalled leads are for dual 12 volt or dual 6 volt.

Thanks
David

The original ones in my '83 34' Excella are parallel wiring to 12 volt batteries. If you have 12 volt batteries now, they will be parallel.

Two 12 volt batteries in series would yield 24 volts, just as two 6 volt batteries in series would yield 12 volts.

Thanks, I had one 12 and switching to 2 sixes and did not know if it was set up for two 2 12's in parallel or two 6's in series.

Thanks much

You're welcome! If you load the first photo here: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f449...0-a-57567.html and zoom in on the fuse panel, you can see the leads coming in from the top from the batteries. The two large black cables on the far right are both negative battery leads and the two large red ones next to them are the positive battery leads. The actual parallel connection is made at the fuse block itself.
