I've been equally impressed with my Yamaha 1000. So far, no issues and am looking forward to many painless years of use out of it.

The 2000 does not have a 30a plug so again back to the 20a cheater? The 3000 has a 30a plug, but not enough kick to safely start the 15k BTU A/C unit, whereas two 2000s can safely start the 15k BTU A/C unit.

PS- The doctor told me not lift heavy things too....created a few problems when I had to go to the bathroom though.....

I just couldn't resist...call is blissful youth....

I know that if the gens are connected in par, there is a 30a, but when you use only one gen, thats what I was commenting on. Do you or can you run that 30a plug by simply connecting to one 2000? I wasn't aware that was possible.

With my 1000, I just use the cheater adapter.....

We run two Honda 2000’s in parallel. They are great generators but I am unable to run them in ECO mode while using my 13500 heat pump. When the compressor kicks on the gens do not ramp up fast enough, so the trailer’s AC will kick off for a few seconds… Thus, I can not make it though a hot night with out running out of Gas. Has anybody plumbed and extension tank onto their Hondas? I was thinking of doing it with a marine outboard motor tank and some connections.

Tavis76,
Go to the classified section of this forum under parts and you will find an advertisement for Duration Power. They make two 5 gallon gas containers with a Y and filter to run your Hondas all night long.

Yes thats the way I use mine. If only one gen is used I use the one with the parallel adater on it and just plug the trailer power cord into it. If a second one is needed I simply connect the two with the leads off the adapter. Because I use a single gen more than double I switch the adapter from one gen to the other seasonally to keep the hrs on each somewhat even.--pieman

PieMan - Dude, I NEED to camp with you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything I read tells me that we could be serious compadre's even be for ever get introduced to each other. Just a feeling........ Call it Karma! You seem to have a properly developed
set of parameters that will help new folks, and new families, and new to the AS mystique - There are so MANY things that will offer her the camping experince she is ever likely to remember/ care about/ something that can get people out of jambs that there hinding Lingo wise.

A Cooooool Campground has, Lots of seasonal sites. Lots of 'drop' spaces, and there are the 1night/ we're GONE!!!!!!

Then there are the 'stay a few days'' if there are things of interest for everyone (kids included, most definately included.)

If there is a way to get some interest, to get gread school
