Voltmeter

"Is there a good reason why I shouldn't install a voltmeter. I'm thinking of installing it near the 12 volt panel while I'm re-wiring the panel.

Also, does anyone have a readable wiring diagram for my '76 International? Long ago I purchased a repro service manual but the image is so poorly duplicated it's impossible to follow.

Aesthetics should guide your final decision. My factory, DC voltmeter is accessible only after opening a cabinet door. I like it that way.

I check AC voltage with a hand-held multi-meter as required.

We would be glad to FAX you a copy, of the schematic.

You could PM the number.

Stone Ridge,
Which model do you have? I have attached a scan of the rear bath 12volt wiring for you. If you have the rear bedroom, let me know and I can pass that one along too.

Plugin type

You could get something like this for VAC or something like this for VDC. When you don't need them keep them in a draw out of site.

My 71 has a OEM dial to check the battery. It still works. It does not have the numerics of voltage but I assume it is a voltmeter. It reads Good/ Fair/ Low

Thank you all for your input. I am going to mount it on the 12 V fuse mounting panel, behind the access door. Thanks again.
