Dinosaur Board in Atwood WH
Howdy..
Our 1999 Excella continued having problems with the WH (water heater) running on Propane. When turning 'on' the Propane process, the WH would light then almost immediately shut off, then display the 'red' light indicating an issue.
After many 'cleanings' of the probe/spark lead, circuit board connections, etc, I decided it must be a problem with the 'ignitor board'.
Since the 'Atwood' UIB board is so expensive and obviously not very reliable, and with much support about the 'improved' board by the folks at 'Dinosaur', I ordered and installed a new Dinosaur UIB board.
The 'mounting holes' are not the same from he Atwood board, but I managed to find proper length screws to get this done.
Result: Absolutely solid starts and flame/heating sequences... and about 1/2 the cost of a 'genuine' replacement.
YMMV...
