Sewer connection at the house

I think I am losing it, because I am excited to have a sewer dump added at the house this week. I thought having a 50 amp plug at the front of the garage was cool, but my own dump station? How great is that? No more waiting at the dump station at the park!
Hope the neighbors don’t smell it 😳

I'm envious. My current and former house, the sewer from the house was never at a convenient place to tie in.

Welcome to the club...we adapted ours 7 years ago.
So such easier, and nobody to scowl at you for taking too long.

Just wondering if you are on sewer system or septic system? I totally understand the joy of being able to empty tanks at home (I have ways to do it and manage my septic system with the sudden large inflow of stuff), but just curious about the management of where it all goes in your system. Always looking to learn better ways to do things.

We had one put in also when we purchased our house 15 years ago. Makes dumping so much easier plus I've used the last several RV's as guest houses at times. 30 amp connection and sewer hookups gives mine full hookups! No odor emanating from ours when I dump besides it's closer to the rear of the house

I installed 3 hookup and dump stations on our property and never had a problem. We are on our own Septic system. Even put in 30 & 50 amp box’s at each spot

When I remodeled and expanded the house, it gave me the excuse to add a full hook up.

I can't imagine now without it.

Congrats!!

Another option is a garden hose and a macerator pump to get you to a dump port.

Another nice perk👍...sloshing home with a full black tank promotes no chunks on the walls which helps with sensor operation.🤓

Having an on-site county sewer connection point is exceedingly handy. Our 30 amp power is located beside the trailer's parking spot alongside the garage, but the sewer pipe cap isn't close enough to be directly connected to the trailer. A Blue Boy Waste Tank is necessary to roll across the driveway to the cleverly hidden hatch on the house side of the garage or use the macerator/hose approach.

It may not be optimal, but it is better than doing without so short-term holiday guests can be accommodated.

Here is something I do when going home. I dump ice cubes down the toilet and let em bang around cleaning off the walls and contacts as they melt while driving. And then I dump. Seems to work quite well

Well, the install is complete! All I need is someone to fill up the black tank so I can try it out...

If you have grand kids, invite them over. Whenever we take them in our Avenue, they seem to use the bathroom every 30 mins.

I have a macerator so instead of installing a cleanout, I bought 100' of hose so I can just pump it around to the existing one in back. Then I thought, what do I do with 100' of stinky hose. So I've never used it.
