Outside shower

My 2013 28' International has very low water pressure on the outside shower when running off the pump. There seems to be plenty of flow, just too many holes in the cheapo shower head to force much pressure. I did a temporary farm fix with taking the head apart and blocking about half the holes with tape which seemed to help but still not great, especially when holding the shower higher.

The inside faucets and showers are all fine with the pump. Has anyone else run into this and have any suggestions. I'll be at a music festival next weekend and grey water tank size might be a bit limited so the outside shower would be handy, even just for a quick cool down.

Thanks!

Simple solution, Get a higher volume/pressure pump. I use my outside shower most every trip for cooling off or a quick rinse off of mud and dirt. Not the strongest pressure compared to my inside shower but gets the job done.

Simpler solution— replace the outside shower head with one that matches the inside shower head.

That's what I would try first. If you have a plastic housing and shower head it could well be the problem. If it still doesn't work well, look for a kinks in the supply line or an obstruction. Hydraulic pressure should be the same as any other line. Mine works great.

I caught this screen shot of an outdoor shower hack on a video I saw yesterday. Install a removable screen with Velcro and it's a great idea! Click image for larger version

Glad my trailer has a working outside shower. Not thrilled by having to hang something out the window.

I have yet to use my outside shower. When I winterized last year I noticed the hose connections were cracking so I purchased a new hose. Now I can't find the shower head. I hate when I loose stuff. As I remember the pressure was OK, not forceful but enough to wash off with. I have the original Aquaflo pump

My outside shower gets used most often for cleaning things rather than people.
