Dented Fresh Water Tank Shroud

Is this something I should worry about? There aren't any water leaks.

Besides the dent, the bottom of the shroud is bowed out.

There is a space between the shroud and tank, about an inch and a half or so. There is a piece of Styrofoam insulation inside that space. I doubt the tank is damaged.

Did you hit something in the road while towing?

I wouldn't loose any sleep over it. It doesn't look serious enough to have done any damage to the tank itself. ( On inspection, my cover has a surprisingly similar dent!)
While I've never had the cover off the freshwater tank, I have had the cover off the black & grey tanks. The have a bit of foam padding around them. I would suspect that the freshwater tank is the same.
I'm guessing that you have filled the tank & looked for the tell tale signs? I'm guessing your ok....

I didn't hit anything to my knowledge. I strongly suspect that a couple of months ago when I took AS to dealer to do warranty work, including dropping the fresh water tank to fix floor squeakk the tech forced it one way or another to get out or up. That wasn't there only screw up, but I don't know for sure. thx

My 2013 Classic has the same dent. The trailer hitch jack foot was not properly pinned and fell off when I went over a rough RR crossing. The water tank was not damaged.

As others say, not a problem. bottom bowing is also normal. I have a worse one where a bonehead at the tire store caught the side edge with a floor jack.
