New at this - Significance of the painted Number

I know the answer is on one of the sites I've been to, but haven't seen it yet. What is the meaning of the painted number on the Airstream? Also, why do some in restoration pics have a red one and a blue one?

Welcome in!

The Red numbers are the membership numbers of the Wally Byam Caravan Club International.

The Blue numbers are Airforums numbers. When you register here you are issued a member number.
