Must have tools!

My new best friends are the Air Capitol Rivet Removal tool (got mine thu Northern Tools) and also a grabit srew extractor! These have made a huge difference!

Keep it clean and lubed - the bushings will loosen if just from aluminum oxide and aluminum flour getting burnished in. The fancy gun or fishing reel oils w/ additives may be best to reject debris from melting into the housing etc.

Full disclosure: I may be hyper about that since I discovered to chuck that tool into a pneumatic cut-off tool and effortlessly turn aluminum into flour or thread-fine shavings. High-speed is sooo where its at when it comes to aluminum drilling.

A more affordable source for that tool exists here - AND they have cobalt alloy drill bits available which absolutely pay for themselves...
