Grafitti Removal
So we woke up to this (profanity warning).
Anyone know how to remove spray paint from the clear coat without damaging it?

Sorry to hear about this. I discovered some overspray on our AS from my neighbor in the storage yard. Just used some soap and water. I was surprised how easily it came off but then again it was too terrible.
I couldn't pull up your photo to see how bad it was. Perhaps contacting a body shop could help.

It is full on words. I have the safety restricted on the photo so that it doesn’t get tagged as offensive so maybe that’s preventing you from seeing it. We will try soap and water first thank you for that tip

Soap and water not really working. Will mineral spirits damage the clear coat?

Mineral spirits should not harm the clear coat. If that does not work satisfactorily, try naphtha, then move up to lacquer thinner. Try each of these first on a small inconspicuous area to see if it has any effect on the clear coat.
I have used all of these on my Airstream's clear coat without any damage.

That is heart breaking. There are some real hateful people in this world. Good luck with getting this removed. If it was mine, I'd get a call into Jackson Center service department and ask if they have any great suggestions.

I had a car rental company and had trucks to do occasionally. Don't wait clean it off now - when it cures it could be worse. Try an automotive prewax cleaner like Maguiars fine cut cleaner or other name brands or mineral spirits may work and if that doesn't go to Goof Off but don't let is sit long. Lacquer thinner will strip the clear off unless you wipe on and off within a few seconds - if it stays wet your clear will disappear.

I don't know the answer to your question but who is so messed up they would do such a thing? I'm very sorry you experienced that.
As Elvis Costello asked - "What's so funny 'bout peace love and understanding?"

Success! We ended up using WD-40, a microfiber cloth, and a little elbow grease.

Thank you for sharing your issue. It's a great piece of learning. Quite helpful to have in the How to do it file. Pat

We did file a police report. They tagged cars around us too. We keep the AS on a piece of property we own near downtown Austin. We've been talking about fencing it in and that just got put on the front burner. Will have the fence up in the next week and a half.

It's great to hear that you were able to get the paint off. Good luck with your new fence.
