Attached are the pictures of the mounting arrangment I made for the Pressure Pro in my 2006 GMC Sierra. I mounted a piece of plexiglass to a piece of wood and placed the wood in one of the storage places in the dash. I hold the wood in the hole with a piece of foam. The Pressure Pro mounts to the plexiglass with velcro.

The pictures are there now. The original picture files were too large.

For those not familiar with Las Vegas >>> you can't imagine worse scenario for flat tire.
So thanks to PressurePro display, I was able to determinate that pressure drop was very slow and even 10 minutes later I still had 22 psi. With that knowledge I was able to drive confidently to the hotel, let my passengers go and replace the wheel in the comfort of underground garage.
Boy can I relate. Several years ago it happend to our Airsteam coming out of Las Vegas toward Socal at about that temp. It was August so it was boiling in Vegas. When we got the chance to buy the distributorship, it was that event that made up my mind. Personally, it has saved us twice and our testimonials are through the roof.

Rich, thanks for the tip. I never would have thought of that. There's one of those otherwise useless little boxes behind the shifter on the newer Tundras that might work well.

I'm still waiting to hear about the new better pressure monitor Lew was testing. Anyone have an idea what brand it is?

Nice mounting idea, 2dabeach...

Our tow vehicle has its own pressure monitoring system, so we only use our PressurePros when we are actually towing... Since we can't really see anything out the rear view mirror in the truck when towing (except for confirming that the AS is still back there), we mount the receiver on the rear view mirror using the suction cups that came with it...and there's still enough mirror showing to still confirm that the AS is back there...even enough room to see the "navigator" when hitching up... When we're not towing for a week or more, I remove the sensors and store them and the receiver in the glove box till the next trip... (Just make sure you put the same sensors on the same tires when you re-install them...and remember that you are setting a new base-line pressure when you re-install...but you don't have to reprogram the receiver...it remembers where the sensors are supposed to be.)

Pressure Pro Discount

Doran, the manufacturer, is discounting Pressure Pro systems 10%, actually undercutting it's distributers. Four wheel system is $351 instead of $390 plus free shipping. It's pretty easy to Google them. It's the best deal I could find on the internet.

So I broke down and ordered a set.

Gene,
Don't blame you, they have us beat by well, 10%.
The reason they are discounting is because they are depleting their inventory and not going to be a distributor of PressurePro any longer. They never were the munfacturer but rather private labeled the original PressurePro we distribute. The Doran version is or soon will be extinct.

Cool Signal Amplifier

PressurePro owners: Did you need to add the purchase of the signal amplifier for the pressurepro to work well with the Airstream?

I won't speak for the owners Bud but I can tell you from our experience that its not necessary for travel trailers. Because of the windows and lack of obstructions, the signal is plenty strong.
On motor homes, there are lots of obstructions between the driver area and the rear wheels and especially a towed vehicle. Motor homes over 35 feet usually do better with the repeater.

We get a strong signal without an amplifier, but then our trailer is only 19'...

A new Pressure Pro is coming out in a few days. The monitor will be about one inch less wide and 1 inch less high and will have a bigger LED readout. I'm having trouble figuring out how to install either the old or new one in my Tundra in a practical way. I must ponder this…

The monitor size of the one I have has been a challenge for me too. I thought it was unnecessarily large when I got it. The limited real-estate on the F-250 dash makes it difficult to decide where to place it.

No amplification required with ours and we tow a 30 footer with a Duramax Crew and have used the PPs for at least three years now. I'm expecting to need new batteries before too much longer. Has anyone had theirs long enough to have had battery problems?

I have been using the TPMS and am satisfied with it to date.

I have decided against selling these, or any other TPMS units to fully concentrate on my RV service business, which just keeps getting busier .

You can find this TPMS system at Transportation Safety Products. along with a superior wireless rear vision camera system that I have also been using with great success.

Thanks!
