Musty Smell

We have a new to us 2013 25' FC FB. Air cools amazingly in FL summer heat. When the air turns on, right next to the distribution box, I can smell a musty, damp type smell. There is no water dripping or leaking. Outside, water drips out of the condensate line. Everything seems to be functioning well. Any ideas? Do I need to take the distribution box down and clean? The previous owners didn't exactly keep things spotless.

After my MH sat for 5 years, I was sure it would be growing mold. Turns out it wasn't, just some surface mildew that wiped off with Lysol wipes, but I purchased a Ozone Generator.
Something about ozone kills odors, they use it in rehabbing homes after fires and smokers.
You can't stay inside with the ozone, but you can air it out and return right away.
The ozone generator is basically a box with a fan on one end, electrical plates in the middle, and a timer on the other end.

Also, you might remove the AC shroud, spray some tub and tile cleaner in the pan (Bleach), I know my home ac builds up rainwater and gets algae that clogs the drain.

Airstreams aren't airtight, so the musty smell could be coming from someplace you can't see— such as in between the floor and belly pan.

Hi refquity, welcome to the forums. Greetings from central Kentucky.

How about the coil, did you check that or have it serviced? Sometimes they can get dirt or mold on them and then that smell gets carried into the AS. Youtube has a lot of videos. Here's one for an RV that gives some pretty good detail. There are many others.

After taking down the inside air distribution box and inspecing, I have found that it is very dirty/ moldy up inside. I am taking it in to have it professional cleaned and serviced.
