I found mine in a little box in the front of the AC on the upper part. there was a start and a run capaciter and a relay. I replaced all three. AC runs great.

There are about a dozen screws that hold the cover on the box containing the capacitors and relay , right on the front of the unit. Of course you must remove the shroud.

Any place that sells parts for the HVAC business should have or can get the parts. Ask your local HVAC guy where he gets his stuff.

How difficult was replacing the three capacitors? Are they "plug and play" or is there soldering involved?

Usually they have 1/4" spade connectors that slide off and on, sometimes with a little difficulty... Soldering is really quite easy if you have somebody tell you how the first time - and you don't need much for equipment. Please don't let the fact that something is soldered scare you away!

Thanks! I'm not scared of soldering, but I"ll be quicker to undertake this job if I don't have to sit on the roof to solder.
