Yikes! The Airstream dealer in Denver just quoted me $1475 for a new installation, not a replacement. I already have the AC unit and the distribution box. Seems a bit spendy to me. What do you folks think?
I am thinking about getting an AC system installed as well. Currently, there is none. The model is 1970 23' Safari. Does anyone know if the model is pre-wired and has a drain tube? If they have to be installed for the system, how would one hide them? I do not want to see a wire and tube running on the ceiling or roof. I heard that the hole is usually reinforced with wood frame to support the AC unit. How much would this work typically cost?
