It means that the old guy still has fire in his pants.

Seriously, it would help to know a little more. Is it a single or 2 door model? My 2 door RM 1303 AES had poorly sealing door gaskets and the freezer would get cold (and ice up badly) but it got pretty warm down in the bottom section.

The cooling unit, is a split system.

When one half quits, it means that the internal plumbing orifices have become partially plugged up from the internal rust within the system.

You can try to replace the cooling unit, or depending on the overall condition of the reefer, replace the entire reefer.

There is also the Burp fix for which there are no guarantees.
