Shakedown trip a mile away
We were in Larkspur, Colorado, on our inaugural 'shakedown' to ensure we were checked out on our AS and worked out what we need for longer treks. Even though it rained we had a great time.

GandTsaylor it looks like you must live down the street from me as we live over in the Hidden Forest near BearDance GC. I hope you have great adventures with your new AS. I'm pulling mine out of storage this week to have a new solar system installed later this week. Can't wait to get fully off the grid this year. If you have any questions, I'm happy to help.

On our lot at the over age 55 Airstream only Ponderosa Shadows RV park in Lakeside, AZ. The furnace ran a little near dawn in the mid 40s temperatures just before sunrise. The high was in the 70s.
Today, I have to return to the Valley of the Sun, Phoenix, where the high will be around 100.

Well, Sunday morning...
The Carousel, Turn Eight/Nine, Road America, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. And on Saturday, in the middle of May, about two minutes of snow....yup, snow...temp about 32° F. And, this is what one sees out on the track....

Silver Falls State Park, Stanton, Oregon. Enjoyed the rainy weekend with 35 other campers, mostly T@Bs and Aloha trailers from the 50's/60's. Also, another Bambi. Great people, music, fun and games.

Rideau River Provincial Park about 40 minutes south of Ottawa Ontario... 
Very warm and humid, about 86 or almost 100 with the humidity. One of the few times I was happy to have the dog want to go out in time to see the sun come up, and it was still relatively cool. We had a 2004 23' Flying Cloud a few spots over.

Originally we planned a "boondocking" trip to Tombstone, AZ. Staying out on the West side of the Dragoon Mts. in the Coronado National Forest. Unfortunately, after scoping out the area, I realized hauling a '34 footer to the area was not a good idea. ( Maybe something in the neighborhood of '25 or less would be "do-able" ) Anyways, we ended up in an RV park for the night in Tombstone.
( Wyatt Earp days celebration) Sunday we headed South into Bisbee and pulled into the Queen Mine RV park.
They DO take reservations and I'd suggest making them as they only have 25 spots. Their location is perfect if your looking to "survey" Bisbee.
( 10 minute walk to "Old Bisbee" )
We pulled in on Sun. morning at 9am & scored a spot someone was vacating. $30/ night w/ full hook-ups. Laundry facilities & a shower house w/ clean restrooms are about it for "perks", but the location is great and the views are awesome!! A Google search should turn up their website. Just food for thought if your going to be in the area.
