Golly, old LP's.....my collection includes a few Lasar discs, the size of an LP. Wild sound and video for its day. And for some, they still sound great.
Maybe I will look to see if any of the albums have pink flamingos on them....
Canada, for me, Toranna and surrounding area...one of the fascinating things....Google the Big Chute Marine Railroad...

I visited Ottawa for meetings with the Canadian military. It is a beautiful city, it reminded me of Parts of London. Now that we have an AS we want to make the long trek next year...

The Big Chute is amazing, but you're not doing that with your Land Yacht....are you?

It is, especially in Spring when a zillion tulips are in bloom. The Dutch gave Ottawa these tulips in appreciation of the Canadian liberation of the Netherlands during WW2.

The story is better than that FaN. The Dutch royal family fled to Canada when the Nazis invaded. The Queen was pregnant and by Dutch law a ruling monarch must be born on Dutch soil to qualify for the job. The Canadian parliament declared a wing of the hospital to be Dutch territory so that the child, who eventually became Queen Juliana, met the necessary criteria to become Queen.

Gh, I read somewhere that they also put Dutch soil under the delivery bed.
Many Dutch came to the Fraser Valley after the war. They started dairy farms and plant/flower nurseries. You used to see quite a few of them tromping around in their wooden shoes.
On another note, I am more than satisfied and grateful for my trailer.....but there's one thing it doesn't have.....that I wish it did: That kewl porthole window on the loo door.
So, decided to make my own by sticking a subtle sky image onto this metal charger plate.
Cost: $1 and change.

Window "dressing"
After fitting a piece of tissue paper, colored, design or whatever floats your boat, to the shape of a window, I have sprayed hair spray on the glass, then pressed the tissue paper on. When you want to remove it, a bit of soap and water does it quite easily, even after as long as four years.
However, as to bathroom doors, I have removed the one on my Serenity, and will be replacing this with curtains made from the Airstream curtain material I have about four yards of....matches everything in my Serenity.
I found myself constantly bumping into the door, rarely closed it, and if someone needs privacy, the foldette door across each end of the hall will provide, along with my new curtain "door."

Thank-you, Photobum and Annie.
Msmo, I'm going to try your window dressing trick.
I've crunched my hip on the bathroom door a couple of times too. I like the idea of the curtain door. Thanks for sharing.

We installed a privacy curtain for the bathroom sink and toilet on the street side so we did not need to use the forward pocket door.

MacArthur Park, Los Angeles and Itchycoo is Little Ilford Park in London , all with tongue in cheek. I think we find these places less on a map, more in our mind.

Hi FaN
I chose a Signature over the Serenity only because the window on the bathroom door was sort of like a porthole and at the end of the day, some where on the prairies, I could imagine that the Prairie Schooner 11 was actually in a safe harbour surrounded by a calm sea. (Rather than a Walmart in , say, Moosejaw) Works for me. Since we liked both models equally we needed some reason to choose one over the other.
Msmoto, I put a hook on the bathroom door to ease the closing problem. Works ok. The door swings dangerously close to the shower door and I had visions of leaving a digit stuck in there. Jim

We never close the bathroom door except when traveling. We use a hook and eye to keep it open except it can be in the way when pulling the pantry out. Close the door and I feel like I'm locked in a closet. I love the porthole.

Oh My Gosh!..........
........was that a storm or what?????
Just got back online. A superstorm hit Vancouver and the Fraser Valley - power has been out since early Saturday morning.
I hate to admit this, but this is the first time I have put the trailer to use without being connected to the juice (electrical power) and city water. umm....I just thought I'd try everything out to see if it all worked on LP/battery power alone before the extended warranty expired....but ummmm.....I never got around to it.
Well, when those 50 mph wind gusts hit, the drought-stressed trees downed the power lines like dominos. I was left with battery and LP or bust. Would everything work?
To cut to the chase the FaN performed beautifully! The refrigerator kept everything at about 35C. The water-pump gushed like an oil well - putting out scads of cold or hot water. The range top - no problem. Was cooking up a storm. (The only thing I still haven't tried is the oven. I don't know if I ever will use it). The lights kept the trailer bright. The built-in radio kept me up-to-date with the news. Most people were not prepared for this storm; the city was in chaos. I felt incredibly fotunate!
Besides the wind, we had a deluge of rain. Now I wondered how the roof seals would fare after four months of scorching sun and record heat. The inside seams and window seals are dry. Whew!
At 7 pm Monday night, the FaN was on its 56th hour. The lights were still bright and the pump still sounded strong - even after a nice hot shower. I was wondering how long the battery would last. Going into the 58th hour, I was getting ready for bed when the neighbour's yard light went on. We were back on the grid.
Will report more later.......have to catch-up on a few things, to say the least!

Good job, FaN!
Sorry for the storm, but glad to hear the trailer came thru for you.
It is kind of reassuring to know you have the back-up, hey?
