Dear FaN,

Pray tell, what does "V2 a gourmet food product" mean? So much shorthand.

John S.
JDS, trying to "V2 a gourmet food product" succeeds V1'g a gourmet food product.

Do you want the look?

Hokay. I'll tell ya.

V2 is short for getting off the ground (after some difficulty).

Never before has the old saying,
"Women are from Venus -Men from Mars" meant so much.

I think this is what she talks about? V1-G picture below.

It is impossible to compose a clever quip when I have not a clue what you are talking about!

The key to the mystery is in the name FLY at night. V2 is pilot lingo for, "going fast enough to get off the ground." V1, V2, Rotate.

Having already achieved V1, FaN is going to fast to coast to a stop in the amount of runway remaining, and will have to actually brake to stop safely. Once V2 is achieved, all that's left is to pull back on the stick (Rotate) and get the wheels off the ground.

Thanks FaN AND Protagonist. The "look" only if it is to convey something along the lines of, "how can you be so dense".

Dear TCA and GPO,

Did Gypsy Rose Lee take it all off at once? Non, madam/sir.

Meanwhile, back in the Clipper bus, massey Dave is playing with his
tool(s).

Pro, you have just been promoted to captain.....and no longer have to settle for "the fat one" on those overnight layovers.

Hi JD, nope. I was recently coaching Maggie on "the look" when dealing with annoying relatives.

You are not dense, friend.

Here's my take. The V2 was a rocket that was "launched" from a slide in France. The idea was to bomb the Brits. So if one was going to V2 something, like a business, he/she was doing a start up. Now the trickier one that only a FAN would know, is, if you are going to 425 something, what are you going to do?
