Tundra 22' INTL CCD

I am considering the purchase of a used 2004 22' INTL CCD. I currently have a 2003 Tundra (Std Cab) SR5 4wd (The original specs say 7200 lbs towing capability). Of course, both the local dealer, and the owner tell me it is fine.

Can anyone give me some input on the matchup?

Thanks,

Tom-

Sounds good to me

Sounds like a good match up for the weight of that trailer to your truck. Gas mileage may be poor but I think it will tow well.

I tend to agree with campcollector. When the somewhat sub-half-ton Tundra comes up, the usual question is capacity. Do a Search in these forums for more detailed info.

Watch to keep within your tow vehicle's GVWR. Published hitch weight on airstream.com is a bare trailer weight. Figure the hitch weight to be more like 15% of your trailer's GVWR.

Towing 15-25% below your max towing capacity will give a margin of safety and performance.
