we second cape blanco as a really nice park. The bay house in newport is a really good restaurant. people like the rv park at the marina in newport as well. the aquarium is a nice afternoon as well. a bit further south cafe 101 diner is a great breakfast spot, if it is still there. it has been a while. the adobe has good but not great food.

Hidden Gem
Flores Lake County park just south of Langlois, OR (world famous hot dogs) is a hidden, almost paradise beautiful spot to hang for a couple of days. Water, electric, hot showers$ and drive by dump. Destination kiting and wind surfing spot so very busy in July and August. They do take reservations. Park is located on Floras Lake which is only 75 yards off the ocean. Two days at the park, a walk on the beach, lunch in Langlois and fresh oysters from nearby Charleston and you will be thinking of moving our way.

We were there in August. Our favorite was Sea Perch RV just south of Yachats. A bit pricey but AMAZING!! Private beach just outside your door!

State law, all Oregon beaches are public.

Any pointers, do’s and don’t, for this area? We stopped and peaked at a couple of campgrounds, some of which would be a challenge for a larger (27’ +) trailer.
Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. Feel free to PM me if you don’t want to publicly share your favorite fishing hole or other secret treasure.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Ron,
I am bias, have been going to Cannon Beach (camping) since 1959 or 1960 as best as I can remember. The wife, dogs, and me have been twice this year. Yes Oregon State Parks are nice and are our favorite places to stay. We found a great place on our 2nd trip, FT. Stevens State Park. Located about 20 miles North of Cannon Beach. Full hook ups, partial hook ups, Yurts, cabins, and over 500 spots. You can drive on the beach from the mouth of the Columbia river down to approximately 1 mile north of Seaside, roughly 18 miles.
Safe travels
