RV storage for 3 days near orlando?

Help!

We are vacationing at Disney (yay!) until Thanksgiving day, we then depart to Miami to visit family. Thanks to homeowner association rules we can't park the Airstream at my mother-in-law's house. So ... we'd like to just leave it in Orlando for 3 nights and save the hassle of towing it 6 hours for no good reason.

Any ideas on a safe place to leave it for a few nights? We've only stayed at Fort Wilderness in Orlando so I have zero experience with other RV parks or storage places.

Thanks everyone!

If you are camping at Fort Wilderness before heading out, why not leave it in the Fort Wilderness parking lot for a few days (if they have not objections). Every time we camp at Disney we notice many units parked in the lot near the registration building. Our daughter just bought a home in Orlando and we are faced with the same situation. Will be interested to see what others have to say...

That's a great idea. We've parked there on check out day so we can still have a full day in the park. It can't hurt to ask. I'll let you know what they say.

I found another park -lake turkey- near universal that allows for short-term boondocked parking.

We tried to boondock in the FW parking lot, and got rousted by "sheriff Woody"

There were at least three other travel trailers in the lot, when I asked if they were getting kicked out as well, he said they weren't occupied and only being stored

we stayed at Turkey Lake this summer while visiting Universal and it was safe and quiet. Even if you end up getting a site for the 3 days, it was pretty cheap as I recall, like $15 a night or something.

I'll bet Disney would let you park your rig if you weren't boondocking in it. I've seen all sorts of trailers parked there for days on end...obviously Disney wants your hard earned dollars and expects you to camp in the campground.

Back from our 2 week trip. It was a fantastic time to be at Fort Wilderness (week prior to Thanksgiving). We had a blast.
Okay, couple of updates .. if Disney used to let you park and "store" an RV in the lot there, they don't anymore. We opted for Turkey Lake, which is pretty darn close to Universal Studios. They charged us $5 a night to park it while we drove on down to Miami to stay with family. Park was safe and gated, very large and the adjacent campground looked wooded and nice.

If I were going to Universal or just spending a few days in Orlando I'd camp at Turkey Lake. It had a children's barn/farm, swimming pools and was lakefront.

I was there over the thanksgiving weekend and there were a lot of RV's parked out there over night all weekend. Maybe they just wanted to be a PITA because they were full.

Las Vegas

You can park for free at the California Circuit Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. The rodeo does not start until Jan 14th but some of us are showing up right after Christmas.

Sounds like Fort Wilderness is going to do it for you, but I was also thinking you could look for someone with courtesy parking in the area...
