What kind of accomodations are you looking for? We have stayed at two parks in the ares... the first is Bill Frederick Park at TurkeyLake
3401 S Hiawassee Rd, Orlando, FL 32835
(407) 299-5581
water, electric only, dump station available for campers use..... $15 per night last year.
this is a city park with controlled gated entrance after 5 pm pets welcome.
Nice, large spaces, friendly place, not far from all the paid stuff to do!
We also stayed at Manatee Hammock, a Brevard County park. Rate there was $22 per night. See here for more info about camping in BC parks:
http://www.campingspacecoast.com/rv_tent/index.htm
click on the park you are interested in.
There is at least one nice state park in the area I've heard about but can't recall the name! LOL
BTW... Manatee Hammock also had free wifi! It was close to the space center, and we really enjoyed it.
Good luck, and let us all know where you decided and how you liked it once you've done it!

Here are a few pictures from Ft. Wilderness at Disney. Nice CG, we enjoyed our stay there.

John: We stayed a Fort Wilderness last summer in a cabin because of the number in our group. Weighed flying vs going with the RV and decided to fly and stay in a cabin. Worked well for our group of 5. Everybody wants to go again. Great place to stay.
