Turned to tight backing into a site and cracked the piece for the friction sway. $30 and 45 minutes later we were on the road. We are at Johnson Lake State Park in Lexington, NE tonight.

Note to self.... Take off sway bar when in camp. Thanks for that little nugget of wisdom.

Even with the bar off, the ball can still contact the trailer frame if you turn too tight.

Richard, you and Jan are having more than your share of problems lately. I hope it gets better.

I'm glad to see you are getting things sorted out and taken care of on your way to Gunnison. Nothing can stop you! See you two in two days. (I expect we'll have a cold frozen tasty treat awaiting Jan a bit after your arrival).

Last night i found a screw in one of the truck tires, down inside the groves. Fearing that it had penetrated into the area where the air is stored I waited till we got to a tire shop. They pulled the tire and then removed the screw. It was very short and had not punctured the tire.

It cost us $7 and 1 hour. It could have been worse.

Tomorrow is the RMVAC Rally in Gunnison, CO. We made it Gunnison this afternoon and are spending the night at the KOA. There is a trout pound here so I got the fly rod out and caught dinner.

We stopped by the fairgrounds and the tent is up and Chris and Jim are getting set up. We will be moving over tomorrow around noon.

I'm somewhat familiar with Gunnison, but from a long time ago, and can't remember where the fairgrounds are in relation to downdown? (Maybe out on the east side? Just guessing.)

Wish we could join you!

Oh, by the way, we've never stayed at the KOA, but have been to the Tall Texan up on the north side. Very pleasant surroundings amid tall trees (though close enough to the river to have some mosquitos).

The fairgrounds is located a few blocks west of main street just south of US-50. The KOA is just west of that on the other side of the airport.

I kind of remembered where the KOA is, but the picture helped considerably; there aren't many parts of town with vegetation and water areas like that. But I'm still mentally vague on the fairgrounds. No surprise! I'm mentally vague about a whole lot of stuff! It just means that it's high time for a return trip in that direction ...

We've seen some pretty old prop planes doing touch and goes from that airport—can't really see the airport, but could see the planes. I wondered if it was a DC 3 or something of that vintage.

It's cool and overcast at the RMVAC Rally this am. Great chili dump last night and the seminars are starting.
