Hi all. I have posted a question or two since 11/14, but mostly researched the forum about winterizing & a minor A/C leak down in MS. --We have made it all the way from Phila. PA on 4/1 thru DC, VA, (Rt 81) thru TN, Smoky Mtn (down at Townsend,TN) & then over to Asheville, NC & then back to Nashville. --Then on thru MS, (Natchez Trace) & State Parks. Then to Louisiana & Texas, (New Orleans , then 3 TX state parks & now in Big Ben.
We have stayed at various KOA's & State parks (TX & MS are quite good.)
Now, my question---we are heading to San Diego by way of NM & AZ , hoping to see Grand Canyon (south Rim),---time is not a problem, we have about 3 more weeks before arriving in Carlsbad, CA--Any suggestions , Rt 40 to Flagstaff?--or another interstate from Rt 10 in the NW direction to the Grand Canyon?--We have a 2012 23FB Flying Cloud with a TV 2015 GMC Canyon
TV can pull 7,000 & we had all weighed last week & we are at 5,800 gvw, (but tanks were empty),--I'm concerned a bit about elevation & speed. I did Teton pass last yr (10,000 ft) in a rental Airstream last June & all was good but a bit of a fright!---Thanks in advance for any travel suggestions.--We have all the travel maps & wifi has been good at Big Ben , but spotty at other stops.--just thought ?..why re-invent the wheel when you'all have probably done it !!--Thanks in advance !!
