It's on its way!! - a few questions...
Our little 19' CCD shiny hacienda is leaving Jackson Center today on it's way to Missoula! We'll be picking it up in 2 weeks, and we can't wait! I had Jean (super lady) in the Airstream store tuck some pink flamingos, a hat, and some bed sheets in the trailer before the voyage. Party lights were backordered .
Some questions:
1. Am I correct to assume the 19' CCD has a hitch ball size of 2 5/16?
2. What size of machine screw do the running lights use? We'll be down there doing the full once over and then taking a couple days to bring it back to Calgary. I may as well prevent light leaks from the start! I want to get the stainless steel bolts and rubber 0-rings prior to heading down.
3. Any specific must-have tools/gadgets/items for the maiden shake down?
I'm told smashing a bottle of Brut over the shell is not the way to start the relationship.
so far: - corkscrew - check
- bottle opener - check
- Trailer Park Troubadours - searching...
- anything else?
b.

Congratulations!
Now to answer your questions:
2 5/16" ball should be the right size.
IIRC, the running lights are riveted on, although this may have changed recently (recent being a relative thing)
Vintage RV supply has the little Airstream trailer party lights for your awning.
Must-haves would be:
Wheel chocks of some description.
A bag of leveling blocks.
Fresh-water hose.
A level (if yours isn't equipped with one).
A 30 amp to 15 amp adapter.
A first aid kit.
A sewer slinky.
There are a lot of other things you can take, these are the absolute basics.
Good luck with your new coach.

Hello bradk,
I'll start this (though you're on the right track...):
torque wrench w/sockets - wheels will need re-torque by 100 miles
12VDC air pump and tire PSI gauge
sewer hose and attachments
clean water hose
video camera to film everything the dealer showed you and will become confusing two hours later
beer, guitars, banjos, mandolins etc...
Enjoy,
K&L

Brad, we have both, and prefer the "Airstream only" party lights, but that is just a personal preference. Camping World has the "Nash & Airstream" lights, for about the same price as the ones I gave the URL for.

Our trailer came from the factory with a fire extinguisher. I think it's standard on all models. Wouldn't hurt to have more than one, however.

I have two 20 pound ABC's by the front door. If I can't put it out (or get out of the coach) using them, I probably won't be in a position to be able to use them in the first place.
