I had picked up on the theater marque, but couldn't believe my eyes when I recognized the Airstream from last summer. I thought surely the photos were from two different visits.
We love our Airstream and have been truly blessed that we haven't had to have a long list of warranty items. I consider it to be a rather short list considering the hand built nature of Airstreams and compared to the list I have seen from others.
I can't comment on the validity of the items that the mother described to me when I was there, (it just seemed she had grimlins in certain non-Airstream products that wouldn't remain fixed) but I must admit if I spent as much time at JC as she and her daughters have, I would definitely have a different level of affection for my beloved " Changes" and Airstreams in general. I commend her for sticking with her Airstream for this long and hope she get everything to her satisfaction.

Well, there I was...
Just found out how close Jackson Center was to where I was working last week.
Crused over after work, about 4pm, but missed the tour.
Would have taken some aerial photos if known, maybe next time.
Lots of covered bridges in Union County area,
7 plus one old (1914) steel frame.
Follow Darby Creek, most cross over it.
About 30 minutes from Airstream factory.
Anyone in this shot?
Typical Ohio farm, around Bellfontaine +/-

If you're having some work done on your trailer, we've read they want you out by 7:00 a.m. so they can tow it into the shop. Does that mean disconnected, ready to roll at 7:00 a.m.?
Also, if your service takes more than a day, do you get your trailer back at night, or do you have to go to a hotel?
We'll be arriving there on Sunday, September 30 for our appointment on Monday October 1st. Just wanting to know how to prepare for the visit.

We were at JC last year for a couple of days near July 4th. We visited the city pool (I mentioned it in a post earlier in this thread) and we took in a movie at the theatre. It is a cute little theatre and they were redecorating at that time. Very, very inexpensive and they actually had a recent release.

They will come for the trailer as early as 7:00 if you have already been through the check-in at the service department. You will get your trailer back each night and they will come for it each morning at 7:00 am thereafter. Give or take. So you do need to have everything disconnected when you go to the service department to check in and every morning before 7:00 am after that...or you will be scurrying to get dressed and un-hooked in a hurry! Overnight camping in the Terraport is free while having service performed so you don't have to spring for a hotel. But at the same time, there are no amenities except hook ups and cable, IIRC. Cable I can't remember for sure, but I seem to think there was.

JC Terraport
We are at the Terraport now, after a very nice day of having warrenty work done.
2air was nice enough to stop by and say hello to my husband and me. He has written several answers to questions about several items. It was nice to put a face to the very helpful helper!
We set the alarm for 6am this morning and were inside the service dept before 7am. We signed in as required, and even though we were early, we were #4. They call you in order and fill out the paperwork. All went smoothly, and the few minor problems we had were taken care of.
I went on the factory tour-lots of walking, but worth while.
The Terraport is nicely arranged and in great condition. There is no cable and to get wifi you have to have a name and password. If you are arriving on Sunday and want wifi, call ahead and get the information you need to connect when you arrive.
All in all, very pleasant experience, as is most every thing connected with Airstreams.

Beware the factory tour! Unlike most factory tours, you are wandering around the floor with your guide rather than being restricted to some catwalk somewhere. After poking your head into all those beautiful new units, you find yourself unconsciously raching for your checkbook...
We headed back to our beloved old Sovereign at the Terraport and the urge passed but it was a close call.
We had a handfull of minor glitches addressed (furnace repair, new propane regulator) and had the very spiffy leak test done -- they literally pressurized the trailer with an HVLP fan and sprayed it with soap. We had two small leaks (bubble spots) right at the awning rail which they fixed for us.
We were there mid-Summer for 4 days (came in on Saturday) and the place never filled up completely.

Well we just left airstream factory and the terraport was in great shape , the people were great , repairs done in one day , bike museum a must , good coffee , store inside building , WBCCI office down the street , pool . We saw the finished Safari sport ...weight 4000 lbs. ...very nice ...euro look ....also saw in another question about how many the make ? at this time thhey are making 35 week with enough orders to start 45 a week soon. Also did you know you can store your AS at the factory during the winter for free ...they will do repairs during that time ...was a great experience ....

I heard you can only store it for free if they are doing work on it!

It was great meeting you. Loved your cool trailer and your art work. Next time you will have to see us on the way TO a rally instead FROM it, I know I was dragging a bit, lol. You make the beret look stylin'!
