Hi

It's not just a question of "do both of you drive?". If you have grown kids and they sometimes travel along, can / do / will they drive as well? You may not have everybody ready to back the trailer 2.5 miles down a narrow twisty road on a dark rainy night At least the basics of forward motion on a wide open road are a really good idea.

To answer the question, yes both of us drive, the (30 year old) kid does as well. Fairly soon his current companion will probably get some lessons .... It will not be on crazy roads or at high speed. There will at least be some understanding of "how to do it".

My wife drives half the time towing the trailer and does an excellent job. She has no problem towing in large cities. We have friends who will not tow their trailers in places where my wife has towed ours.

My wife does not drive when we are traveling in our AS and has absolutely no interest in doing so. But I think it makes sense for her to do some driving so she becomes somewhat familiar with towing, "just in case". I'll run it by her and see what she says!

Hi

Find someplace very non-threatening and at least go over the basics. You never know what may be needed in the future.
